Happy New Year
To all BBX members, we wish you a prosperous New Year. The New Year is a time for resolutions, thoughts, planning and action. A great resolution to make is to maximise your experience as a BBX member.
Using 10 per cent of your business to create wealth using the BBX model takes a bit of planning, but above all requires affirmative action. The best way to take action is to talk to your account manager, attend networking breakfast seminars with BBX and remain positive about being a BBX member.
It’s your involvement, for instance supplying BBX with referrals, trading fairly and providing great customer service to BBX members, which will make BBX the best trading network.
Customer care, not just customer service, is part of BBX’s philosophy. We offer more than customer service and our account managers want to take care of your account, not just service it. Our goal is to assist you to achieve your business goals.
BBX’s New Year resolution is to provide a Better Business eXperience. We will lift our customer care to a new level and strive to deliver a service level second to none. We will listen to your issues and try to resolve them, we will identify more opportunities for you to spend and earn trade dollars and we will be there for you.
Red Balloon Season fundraising dinner
BBX member and OAM recipient Maurice Cooper will hold a fundraising dinner on Friday, 5 February as part of the Blue Mountain Tourism’s Red Balloon Season. The Red Balloon initiative started in 2008 to raise money for the Victorian bushfires and raised over $30,000. This year the money raised will go to the Rural Fire Service Blue Mountains (RFSBM). The Red Balloon Season and will start on 6 February and end on 31 March, the official end of the bushfire season.
As part the Red Balloon Season, banks and newsagents throughout the Blue Mountains will be selling red balloons. The season will culminate on 31 March when people are encouraged to tie their red balloons to their letter box as a thank you to the fire fighters of the region.
The funds raised will be used to purchase a mini-coach to help fire fighters travel to and from their homes. In many cases families of volunteers are left without transport when their own homes may be threatened by fires.
The fundraising dinner will include a charity auction and will be held at 6.30pm at Chambers Restaurant, Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School.
BBX members can support this event by contacting Maurice directly to book a seat or table on 0412 478 431.

2010 Events
In 2010 BBX members can look forward to more trade nights, more auctions, and more great networking opportunities.
The past year saw BBX hold a very successful wine and spirits auction, jewellery auction and a fine arts auction. You can expect even more in the 2010. We are dedicated to ensuring our members experience a trade exchange as it should be. One that offers opportunity for growth and above all a passionate approach to customer service.
Why you joined BBX
Often we find many business owners forget why they joined BBX in the first place. This reason is to generate new business and offset some cash costs.
When we say offset some cash costs we generally refer to those day to day expenses that you currently pay cash for, like, car repairs, dining out, dry-cleaning, gardening, printing etc Spending trade dollars before you spend cash on those everyday things is the true secret to successful trading and it’s so simple. The moment you might have to pay cash for something think, ‘Can I BBX it?’ Then ring your BBX trade coordinator and find out. There are over 5000 businesses in BBX in Australia which means there are many products and services available to you through the network and many opportunities to spend and earn BBX dollars. The BBX trading philosophy is simple: use your downtime or excess stock to pay for things you’d normally pay cash for.
